Monochromatic Aqua Die Cut Card

Please be aware that I use both branded & unbranded products to create my cards.

It was raining cats & dogs today, so I was able to spend time in my craft cave making this pretty card.

This one was made using a monochromatic theme in soft aqua tones. All the aqua card stock pieces were sponged with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink to highlight the edges.

To make the shadow mat behind the word "love", I traced around the outside edge of the the die, then fussy cut it out.

I had some silk flowers in my stash, which I pulled apart and used the white petals to back my punched flowers, which were shaped & coloured first.

I layered a couple of fancy dies to the embossed background and then arranged the flowers & leaves around them.

Apricot Punched Flowers & Die Cuts

I had this beautiful apricot card stock in my stash and knew the colour lent itself to something soft and feminine......and what is more feminine than pretty dies, flowers and coordinating ribbon?

I used the lacy die to create two borders down the sides of the centre panel, which was embossed with the Swiss Dots EF. 
The die cut panel for the sentiment was sponged with Dried Marigold Distress ink & the sentiment was stamped in black, this was then mounted on foam squares. 
The Retro flower punches were used to make the flowers, which were shaped first & then sponged with Dried Marigold Distress ink. The leafy branch was sponged in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.
The ribbon was dyed with Dried Marigold ink to coordinate and then to finish off....some tiny pearls to the flower centres.
